Vegan Chelsea boots

If you were only going to own one boot, it would probably be a Chelsea.

No laces. Ankle height. A clean line. It goes under a tailored trouser, over a jean, and out on a Saturday without changing character.

In August they sit under a cropped trouser or a turned-up jean, worn while the evenings are still warm. By November the same pair is under something heavier, with a thick sock and a long coat over the top. Come March the coat gets left at home and they carry on. Nothing about the boot changes through any of it, and that is why they help take you through the seasons. It also means you need fewer boots than you think. A Chelsea is the piece a small capsule wardrobe is built around.

We've been learning how to make Chelsea Boots since 2013. There are twenty-eight styles now, refined over the years rather than replaced.

You will notice the handwriting of Will's Vegan Shoes Chelsea Boots as you put them on. The vamps are shaped to your foot profile, with a sweeping line to the ankle that doesn't restrict how your foot moves. The openings hug the ankle because of how the uppers are cut, so the elasticated gussets close clean, with no gap and no bagginess. The vegan suede lining keeps things comfortable and lets air circulate. There are deep insoles that cushion and support your feet. On the backs you have a WVS embroidered pull tab large enough to fit your finger through.

Ethically made in Portugal, to be worn for years to come.
