A fresh take on this classic sneaker silhouette with a focus on using natural sustainable materials.

The uppers are formed from stitched panels made with Spanish vegan leather and a specially made Tencel™ weave knit, cut low so they sit below the ankles. Tencel™ is derived from sustainably grown wood sources (FSC®), harvested from certified and controlled sources.

Certified as compostable and biodegradable under industrial, home, soil and marine conditions, it can fully revert back to nature. It’s compliant with Din Certco, Vincotte and US BPI compostability standards.

The use of Tencel™and the perforations on the toes allows these sneakers to stay cool and breathable through the summer. The linings are formed from a two tone grey Tencel™ and organic cotton mix. It’s really soft to the touch, and allows socks or no socks. The linings help air circulate and they wick moisture keeping your feet dry and hygienic.

They’re fully washable by hand or put them in a short cool wash with a towel (to protect from the wash drum). We put in biodegradable compressed cardboard toe puffs, counters and insole boards (FSC®),Tencel™ sewing threads and padding. Your feet rest on biodegradable insoles made from wood fibers and natural latex. Even the lace tips are made from a biodegradable bioplastic.

The high profile outsoles (1.5cm drop differential: 3.5cm on the heel and 2cm on the front) made in Portugal from rubber containing 70% recycled rubber content provide great cushioning and traction.

Finished with our signature WVS embroidered pull tag made from recycled polyester.

Construcción y características

Vástago: Vástago de acero para estabilidad y soporte en el arco
Herrajes: Ojales metálicos ocultos que quedan tras la piel vegana para un acabado limpio, con herretes metálicos, ambos en 100% zamak (una resistente aleación de zinc)
Construcción: Construcción montada (cementada): el empeine se conforma sobre la horma y la suela se une directamente debajo. Es el método de construcción más utilizado en el calzado y ofrece una construcción limpia y flexible, aunque no resulta fácil cambiarle la suela
Resistencia al agua: Resistente al agua para el uso diario: lo mantiene seco bajo la lluvia, en charcos, calles mojadas y la mayoría de las condiciones invernales. Solo evite la saturación intensa o la inmersión total.

Ajuste: Pida su talla habitual. ¿Media talla? En las hormas de ancho más amplio, elija una talla más; en las hormas más estrechas, una talla menos.

Nuestra piel vegana italiana de origen biológico

Fabricada con piel vegana italiana de base biológica que contiene un 62 a 66% de materiales renovables de origen vegetal. Producida en Italia mediante modernos procesos de base acuosa y sin disolventes, que combinan un soporte de viscosa con una superficie de poliuretano de base biológica de nueva generación.

Ética y origen

Este producto cuenta con certificación de neutralidad en carbono y está fabricado de forma ética en Portugal conforme a la legislación de la UE en materia de empleo, no discriminación y salud y seguridad. Es vegano desde los empeines y los forros hasta el pegamento. Se le entrega a través de nuestra cadena de suministro neutra en carbono, en un embalaje de papel y cartón sin plástico.

Guía de cuidados

Limpieza: Limpie el empeine y las suelas con agua tibia y jabón y un paño o un cepillo suave, y después seque a fondo con una toalla. Abrillantado: Puede utilizarse un betún sintético para recuperar el brillo y avivar el color; cualquier producto sintético debería funcionar bien, aplicado según se indica en sus instrucciones. Si su calzado presenta un efecto bruñido en la puntera y los laterales (aplicamos un betún más oscuro a algunos de nuestros empeines de piel vegana marrón para dar ese efecto), lo mejor es que lo reaplique un zapatero, o hacerlo en casa con un tono de betún más oscuro trabajado alrededor de la puntera y los laterales. Secado: Puede secar su calzado sobre un radiador u otra fuente de calor, o cerca de ella. Según el calor, el interior puede tardar unos días en secarse por completo. No meta nunca su calzado en la lavadora. Desodorización: No deje que su calzado permanezca húmedo entre un uso y otro, sobre todo en el interior de las botas, ya que ello puede dañar la resistencia al agua y favorecer la aparición de microbios, provocando mal olor. Si esto ocurre, seque el calzado a fondo y utilice un desodorante para calzado hasta que el olor desaparezca. En casos extremos, lave el interior con agua tibia y jabón, séquelo después por completo y vuelva a aplicar el desodorante. Impermeabilización (opcional): Puede tratar el empeine con un spray impermeabilizante para mejorar la durabilidad, la resistencia a las manchas y la resistencia al agua. Recomendamos hacerlo cada 2 a 3 meses según el uso; la mayoría de los sprays impermeabilizantes estándar funcionan bien sobre nuestra piel vegana.

Bad fit

The shoes look nice. But I ordered my regular size, and they were much too small. Ordered a size bigger, and they are way too big. Had to keep them because I tried using them, but they'll end up unused now. Too bad, other shoes from WVS are excellent and durable in my experience.

Waste of money

These shoes look great and comfy for the first week. After, they whole fabric inside get destroyed and you cant wear them anymore. I threw them away after just 6 weeks

Disappointing quality

These shoes looked great when I got them, and still look fairly good after a year, but that's where my positives end. Below are the problems I've had with these shoes:

- BAD FIT - I had to order three different sizes to find one that would fit correctly. Not true to size at all. The ones I landed on still didn't fit very well and slip while I walk in them. If you want them to fit snugly theb you sacrifice your toes rubbing against the front. After a month of owning these I developed plantar fasciitis, which I can't for sure blame these shoes for, but I suspect they didn't help.

- LOW QUALITY - The materials on this shoe leave a lot to be desired. I own a pair of WVS Boots and they're excellent. These, not so much. The insoles that came with the ones I ordered were damaged on arrival, and it took over two months for them to send replacements, and they were very uncomfortable so I had to get custom third party insoles for them. The material on the inside has also worn away after only a year of light use. The base of tge shoes is also wearing away. The ends of the laces have also come apart. They look OK from afar but up close they look pretty rough.

Really disheartened by these shoes as I really support the mission of WVS and have had a good experience with their other products (boots, belts). I would not recommend WVS trainers.

Looks great, poor quality

These Munich 2s look fantastic, aesthetic and fashionable. I had very high expectations of this brand. However, the quality is poor. I've had them a year now and only worn occasionally and not really walked in them much. Out of the box material beneath the inside soles were showing and looked bad but I let this go thinking its the outside what matters. But not even a few months in, the inside lining started showing wear and then eventually ripped. It's quite bad now

Fitting wise, this isn't a wide fit. But it's not overly narrow. Narrow enough to feel and slightly see it.

The out side remains good, I've no issues with that.

I've not contacted their customer service so cannot comment on that. If I had been early enough to point out the flaws, I have no reason to believe they wouldn't stick to their policy and got me an exchange or refund. I'm just that cba asked guy to go through the hassle of exchanges and refunds. Though I'm now going to have to look for another pair as the ripped lining is extending towards the top / outside and will be seen.
