WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT
Organic regular tampons with a smooth easy-glide cardboard applicator, which is completely biodegradable. Just twist to release and push.

Most applicators are made from plastic or rigid bio-plastics. These commonly contain phthalates, which can be absorbed through the skin and cause hormone disruption. What’s more is they don’t biodegrade, contributing to worldwide plastic-pollution.

Many rayon-blend tampons have a plastic veil to prevent fibre-loss, and they can also have added perfume or dyes which is totally unnecessary for managing your period.

This is why we only ever use cardboard and organic cotton. We never use GM cotton or unnecessary plastic, so we keep your vagina free from pesticide residues, plastic or toxic residuals or rayon.

Q: “Why use a cardboard applicator?”
Cardboard is the most eco-friendly applicator a tampon can have. Our applicator is entirely recyclable or compostable. Some companies have introduced “plant-based applicators” but these behave like plastic and do not biodegrade. These plastic applicators are often made with a higher renewable content than conventional plastic but behave in the same damaging way to the environment after use. Look for home compostable plant-based plastics to ensure it will break down safely.

Q: “How to use an applicator tampon?”
Some tampons come with an applicator to help insert a tampon. Natracare’s are made with biodegradable cardboard. Twist the two applicator halves to make ready to push, then press the bottom half upwards to push the tampon out through the top of the applicator. Some people prefer applicator tampons as a simple, more hands-free way to use tampons.

Q: “Which absorbency should I choose?”
Always go for the lowest absorbency that you need. During your period, you may find you use different absorbencies because your flow is lighter at the beginning or end of your period.

Q: “How often should I change my tampon?”
It’s important to change your tampons regularly, every 4-6 hours, and alternate between using tampons and pads. It is not recommended that you wear a tampon when you are sleeping because you will most likely be leaving it in too long. Read the instruction leaflet found in the tampon packs for how to use tampons safely to avoid risks associated with Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS).

    Intimate Health
Good intimate health is vital. Avoid synthetic and unwanted chemicals. Naturally hypoallergenic materials help relieve symptoms from allergies, intimate irritation and soreness.

    Certified Organic
Cotton is the most pesticide sprayed crop in the world. Using only 100% certified organic cotton means no chemicals and no toxic pesticides for your vagina or the planet.

    No Fibre Loss
Do you know how many fibres come off a tampon when worn? Try the tampon dip test and find out. We use long fibre organic cotton, this means no tampon fibre loss.

    Totally Chlorine Free
Many period products are bleached with chlorine, but not ours. Find out what Totally Chlorine Free (TCF) means and why it matters.
