Our popular Rig Boots are now available in this Goodyear Welt construction version so you can easily replace the outsoles at a cobblers.

Our Goodyear WeltRig Boots silhouette is iconic, with its moc toe stitching forming a distinct ‘U’ shape.

The substantial yet supple Italian vegan leather made with 69% bio-based content moulds to your feet over time, creating a customised fit. The thick recycled polyester laces are sturdy and classic, ensuring your boots stay snugly on your feet. The cushioned insoles and vegan suede lining provide comfort, even after a long day on your feet.

Built to last years, they will keep carrying on and on with the replaceable Goodyear Welt solid Vibram outsoles. A pair of Goodyear Welted boots can take up to eight weeks to make, using up to 75 boot parts and over 200 different operations to create. The origins of this method go back over three hundred years. The method is generally regarded throughout the worldwide boot-making industry as the best way to make superior boots. As you wear these boots, their fit and comfort will just get better as their components mould to your foot's shape.Perfectly straddling the line between rugged and refined, our Rig Boots are versatile enough for various occasions. Lining: Portuguese vegan suede (100% PU) – soft and comfortable against the foot, with a breathable suede texture that helps keep feet fresh
Insole: Deep Portuguese cork footbed layered with soft vegan suede (100% PU) on top – moulded to your foot and improving with every wear
Outsole: Solid Vibram® rubber outsole – exceptional grip and durability from the most respected name in soling, and being welt-stitched, a cobbler can replace them when the time comes
Laces: Long, extra-strong laces (100% recycled polyester), with metal lace tips (100% zamak — a durable zinc alloy)

Our Italian Bio-Based Vegan Leather

Made with Italian bio-based vegan leather containing 62–66% plant-origin renewable materials. Produced in Italy using modern water-based, non-solvent processes, combining a viscose backing with a next-generation bio-based polyurethane surface.

Care Guide

Clean: Wipe the uppers and outsoles with warm soapy water and a cloth or soft brush, then towel dry thoroughly. Polish: A synthetic polish can be used to bring back shine and refresh the colour — any synthetic product should work fine, applied as described in its instructions. If your footwear has a burnished effect on the toes and sides (we apply a darker polish to some of our brown vegan leather uppers for effect), this is best reapplied by a cobbler, or at home using a darker shade of polish worked around the toes and sides. Drying: You can dry your footwear on top of or near a radiator or other heat source. Depending on the heat, it can take a few days to dry out the insides fully. Never put your footwear in the washing machine. Deodorising: Don't let your footwear stay damp between wears, especially inside boots, as this can damage the water resistance and let microbes develop, causing a smell. If this happens, dry the footwear thoroughly and use a footwear deodoriser until the smell stops. In extreme cases, wash the insides out with warm soapy water, then dry fully and reapply the deodoriser. Waterproofing (optional): You can treat the uppers with a waterproofing spray to improve durability, stain resistance and water resistance. We recommend doing this every 2–3 months depending on use — most standard waterproofing sprays work fine on our vegan leather.
