Onze notities

Our Barefoot Rangers take our rugged Ranger boot and rebuild it for natural movement. Same attention to detail, same Ranger silhouette — now with a zero-drop, ultra-flexible sole and a wide, foot-shaped toe box, so your feet can move the way they were meant to.

The uppers are cut from our Italian bio-based vegan leather (62–66% plant-origin materials), double and triple stitched into that classic Ranger silhouette. Five metal eyelets run up the lacing with two speed hooks at the top of each boot, and they come with the signature Ranger boot lacing: extra-long, extra-strong laces (100% recycled polyester) with metal lace tips, long enough to wrap around the backs through the lace loops.

Inside, Portuguese vegan suede (100% PU) lines the boots — breathable to help air circulate, and a lovely place to nestle your feet. The toe box is wide and anatomical, built on an extra wide EE fit, giving your toes room to splay, flex and stabilise naturally. No squeezing, no tapering.

Underfoot is where these differ most from the original Ranger. The thin, flexible TR outsole sits level from heel to toe with zero drop, and bends in every direction — giving you genuine ground feel while still protecting you from rough terrain, with just enough underfoot protection to take the edge off stony ground without dulling what your feet are telling you. The tread runs edge to edge across the full foot-shaped sole, for grip on wet pavements and packed paths without the bulk of a heavy lug. They're light on your feet too, at 900g for the pair.

It means you can go barefoot through autumn and winter — proper boot coverage over the ankle, with nothing between you and the ground but a few millimetres of flexible sole. Wear them walking on or off-road, doing your day to day, or pack them in your bag for your next epic trip.

They're finished with an embroidered WVS pull tab and a WVS emboss on the tongue and outsole.

Ethiek en duurzaamheid

This product is ethically made in Portugal under EU employment, discrimination and health & safety law. It's vegan from the uppers and linings to the glue. It's delivered to you in plastic-free paper and cardboard packaging. We measure the emissions from making and delivering it, and work to a plan to reduce them.

Ons Italiaanse biogebaseerde veganistische leer

Made with Italian bio-based vegan leather containing 62–66% plant-origin renewable materials. Produced in Italy using modern water-based, non-solvent processes, combining a viscose backing with a next-generation bio-based polyurethane surface.

Onderhoudsgids

Reinigen: Veeg het bovenwerk en de buitenzolen af met warm zeepwater en een doek of zachte borstel en dep daarna grondig droog met een handdoek.

Poetsen: U kunt een synthetische schoensmeer gebruiken om de glans terug te brengen en de kleur op te frissen; elk synthetisch product zou prima moeten werken, aangebracht zoals beschreven in de bijbehorende gebruiksaanwijzing. Als uw schoeisel een gebruineerd effect heeft op de neuzen en zijkanten (wij brengen op sommige van onze bruine veganistisch leren bovenwerken een donkerder schoensmeer aan voor het effect), kunt u dit het best door een schoenmaker laten bijwerken, of thuis met een donkerder tint schoensmeer rond de neuzen en zijkanten.

Drogen: U kunt uw schoeisel op of nabij een radiator of andere warmtebron laten drogen. Afhankelijk van de warmte kan het enkele dagen duren voordat de binnenzijde helemaal droog is. Doe uw schoeisel nooit in de wasmachine.

Geurbestrijding: Laat uw schoeisel tussen het dragen door niet vochtig blijven, zeker niet in laarzen, want dat kan de waterafstotendheid aantasten en microben laten ontwikkelen die een geur veroorzaken. Als dit gebeurt, laat het schoeisel dan grondig drogen en gebruik een schoenendeodorant tot de geur stopt. In extreme gevallen wast u de binnenzijde uit met warm zeepwater, laat u ze daarna volledig drogen en brengt u de deodorant opnieuw aan.

Impregneren (optioneel): U kunt het bovenwerk behandelen met een impregneerspray om de duurzaamheid, vlekbestendigheid en waterafstotendheid te verbeteren. Wij raden aan dit elke 2 tot 3 maanden te doen, afhankelijk van gebruik; de meeste standaard impregneersprays werken prima op ons veganistisch leer.

Opmerkingen over pasvorm en comfort:

Breedte en volume: ons schoeisel heeft een iets bredere D-wijdte en biedt meer breedte en volume dan de meeste merken.
Materialen: we gebruiken hoogwaardig vegan leer en suède. Deze materialen zijn stabiel en rekken in de loop van de tijd niet veel uit, dus we raden aan een maat groter te nemen voor extra comfort.
De perfecte pasvorm: de schoen mag niet knellen. Je tenen moeten ruimte hebben en er mogen geen drukpunten zijn.
Gevoel: in de meeste gevallen zit ons schoeisel direct comfortabel. Afhankelijk van het model of je voetvorm kan het bovenwerk een paar keer dragen nodig hebben om zachter te worden.
