A zip-through knit is one of those quietly useful things — warmer and more finished than a jumper, easier than a jacket, and just as at home over a tee as under a coat. Ours is a warm tan with a stand collar and a full-length zip, knitted in Italy on a ribbed gauge that gives it structure and a bit of weight, with ribbed cuffs and hem and two pockets set into the front.

It's knitted from a blend of 40% Better Cotton Initiative cotton and 60% recycled content — a mix of offcuts from weaving and knitting mills, post-consumer clothing, and recycled plastic bottles, all spun back into yarn rather than thrown out. The full-length zip runs top to bottom with a WVS-embroidered pull tab, so you can wear it open, half-zipped or closed to the neck.

Warm tan is one of the easy ones to build around — it works against black, grey, cream and denim. Wear it over a black tee with grey trousers or jeans, zipped up on the colder days or left open as a layer. It sits somewhere between a jumper and a jacket, which makes it the piece you reach for when a jumper's not quite enough and a coat's too much.

This product is certified carbon-neutral and ethically made in Italy under EU employment, discrimination and health & safety law. It's vegan from the uppers and linings to the glue. It's delivered to you through our carbon-neutral supply chain in plastic-free paper and cardboard packaging.

Caring for your knitwear: Wash less than you think you need to. Airing a knit overnight between wears does more for it than a wash cycle does. When it does need washing, turn it inside out and use a cool wash at 30°C on a gentle or wool cycle with a mild detergent. Skip fabric softener — it coats the fibres and dulls the surface over time. Never tumble dry. Reshape the garment while damp and dry it flat rather than on a hanger, which pulls the shoulders and lengthens the body. Store folded for the same reason. Pilling is normal on any blended knit and comes away easily with a comb or fabric shaver.

How to take your chest measurement

Using a flexible tape, measure around the fullest part of the chest. Keep the tape close under the arms and flat across the back.

We hand measure all items to help you find the right fit. These are the measurements of the garment itself, not body measurements, so the easiest way to use them is to compare them with a similar garment you already own. Lay it flat and take all measurements from the outside.

Our clothing is handmade, so there may be minor variations from piece to piece that won't affect the overall fit.
