Our Notes

A racer jacket cut close to the body, with a short stand collar and no lapel, so the line stays clean from the shoulder down. It's made in Italy in vegan leather with a pebble grain, soft in the hand with a low sheen that catches the light along the seams. Panelled seaming runs through the front and across the shoulders, which is what shapes it in at the waist.

The front fastens with a single zip, and there's a popper at the throat to close the collar. The cuffs have poppers too, and there's a zip at the wrist so the sleeve can open over a knit. Two zipped pockets sit at the front with cotton linings, and there's a slip pocket inside. The whole jacket is lined in Italian-made viscose, so it goes on over a knit or a shirt without dragging.

Wear it over a white tee with dark skinny or straight jeans and ankle boots, or over a roll-neck with tailored trousers and loafers when you want it sharper. It also works over a midi dress with boots, the short cut keeping the waist defined. It's a jacket with a strong enough shape to lead, so keep what's underneath simple.

Care Guide

Caring for your vegan leather jacket: Spot clean only — don't machine wash, and don't dry clean unless the label specifically allows it, as solvents can break down the surface coating. Wipe marks away with a soft damp cloth and a little mild soap, then dry immediately rather than letting water sit. Keep the jacket away from direct heat, radiators and prolonged strong sun, which stiffen the surface over time. Hang it on a broad or shaped hanger and give it room; long periods folded or compressed set creases that don't fully drop out. Avoid solvents, alcohol wipes and conditioners intended for animal leather — they're formulated for a different material.

How to take your measurements

Using a flexible tape, measure around the fullest part of the bust, keeping the tape close under the arms and flat across the back. Measure your waist at its narrowest point, and your hips around the fullest part. If you fall between two sizes, we recommend sizing up.

We hand measure all items to help you find the right fit. These are the measurements of the garment itself, not body measurements, so the easiest way to use them is to compare them with a similar garment you already own. Lay it flat and take all measurements from the outside.
