Recycled Knit Poncho

A poncho knitted in one piece with a deep ribbed roll neck, falling in a wide cape from the shoulder with a curved hem that dips at the sides. The stitch gives the surface a fine, even grain rather than a flat face, and there's enough weight in the knit to hang properly rather than float, so it holds the shape as you move. It's cut one size, wide enough to sit over almost anything underneath.

It's made from a blend of 40% Better Cotton Initiative cotton and 60% recycled content: offcuts from weaving and knitting mills, post-consumer clothing and recycled plastic bottles, spun back into yarn rather than thrown out. It's knitted in small batches in a family-owned factory in Tuscany.

Wear it over cream or white wide-leg denim with flat boots, or over a fitted black roll-neck and slim trousers so the volume sits against something narrow. It also works over a midi dress with tall boots for the evening. In grey it takes almost any colour underneath, and because the shape does the talking, whatever's beneath can stay simple.
