Recycled Slouch Knit Mockneck

A mockneck knitted in a heavy rib that runs the full length of the piece, from the deep ribbed hem right up through the collar. The neck stands short and soft rather than folding over, sitting just above the collarbone, and the body is cut loose for a slouchy fit that falls away from you rather than following the shape underneath. The sleeves are raglan, so the shoulder stays easy and the whole thing drapes.

It's made from a blend of 40% Better Cotton Initiative cotton and 60% recycled content: offcuts from weaving and knitting mills, post-consumer clothing and recycled plastic bottles, spun back into yarn rather than thrown out. It's knitted in small batches in a family-owned factory in Tuscany. There's real weight in the rib, which is where the warmth comes from.

Wear it with straight jeans and boots, or with charcoal trousers and derbies for something cleaner. Under a pea coat or a bomber it works as a heavy mid-layer through winter, the collar sitting just under the lapel. In grey it takes almost anything, so what you put with it leads.
