Vegan Suede Biker Jacket

The biker shape in vegan suede rather than leather, which softens it considerably. The asymmetric zip and the wide notched lapels are still there, but the matt surface and the dark brown take the hardness out of it, so it reads warmer and quieter than the black leather version does.

It's made in Italy in a smooth, soft vegan suede with a fine nap, cut to sit on the hip with panelled seaming shaping it through the body. It's lined in viscose, so it goes on over a knit or a shirt without dragging.

The front fastens with a single angled zip, and there are two zipped pockets set into the front with cotton linings. Each sleeve finishes with a zip at the wrist, so the cuff opens out over a knit or turns back on itself if you'd rather push the sleeve up.

Wear it over a cream or grey knit with blue denim and ankle boots, or over a white shirt with tailored trousers and loafers. Brown suede also sits well with camel and olive, so it works over a knit dress with tall boots when you want the whole thing in a warmer register. It's a jacket that softens whatever it goes over, so it takes to knitwear better than anything sharp.
